בין רמת הנגב לבין הקהילה היהודית של פאלם ספרינגס דזרט מתקיימת שותפות ארוכת שנים, המבוססת על חיבור טבעי בין קהילות מדבריות ועל ערכים משותפים של קהילה, חינוך וחוסן חברתי. הדמיון באקלים המדברי ובאתגרי החיים בפריפריה יצר קרקע פורייה לקשר עמוק ומשמעותי בין שתי הקהילות.

מאז תחילת השותפות, מתקיים קשר נאמן ומתמשך עם הפדרציה היהודית של פאלם ספרינגס דזרט, במסגרתו תומכת הפדרציה במגוון רחב של פרויקטים חינוכיים וקהילתיים ברמת הנגב. בין היתר, התמיכה כוללת את המרכז הטיפולי בבית הספר צין, גני ילדים בקיבוץ טללים ובפתחת ניצנה, וכן יוזמות נוספות המחזקות ילדים, משפחות וקהילות ברחבי המועצה.

לצד התמיכה המקצועית והתקציבית, אנו שמחים לארח מעת לעת משלחות ביקור מהקהילה בפאלם ספרינגס, ולבנות יחד גשרים חיים של היכרות, למידה הדדית וחיבור אנושי בין הקהילות. שותפות זו ממשיכה להתפתח לאורך השנים, ומשקפת מחויבות עמוקה ליצירת עתיד משותף, המבוסס על ערבות הדדית, קשרי קהילה וחזון מדברי משותף.

Palm Springs Desert Community, California

A long-standing partnership exists between Ramat HaNegev and the Jewish community of Palm Springs Desert, based on a natural connection between desert communities and shared values of community, education, and social resilience. The similarity in desert climate and the challenges of life in the periphery created fertile ground for a deep and meaningful relationship between the two communities.

Since the beginning of the partnership, there has been a strong and ongoing relationship with the Jewish Federation of Palm Springs Desert, through which the Federation supports a wide range of educational and community projects in Ramat HaNegev. This support includes, among others, the therapeutic center at Zin School, kindergartens in Kibbutz Tlalim and the Nitzana area, as well as additional initiatives that strengthen children, families, and communities throughout the region.

Alongside professional and financial support, we are pleased to host visiting delegations from the Palm Springs community from time to time and to build living bridges of connection, mutual learning, and human engagement between our communities. This partnership continues to grow and evolve over the years and reflects a deep commitment to creating a shared future based on mutual responsibility, strong community ties, and a shared desert vision.
