The evening was produced by a group of women from the council who had taken part in the “Women Leaders of Tomorrow” program.
The first part of the evening featured a stand-up comedy act that presented a humoristic look at the life of women in Ramat Hanegev.
The second part was devoted to women’s dialogue circles, for deliberation on topics that are of concern to women residents of the council, in which about 80 women took part.
The aim of the evening, beyond having fun, was to set up a women’s plenum in Ramat HaNegev; that is, a body composed of women of the region who want to advance issues relevant to women, or which are of interest and importance to women in the public sphere.
The plenum will convene regularly, and will be based on working teams whose aim is to advance the various issues discussed in them. We gathered all of the topics that came up in the Women’s Day discussion circles and, together, the women will take it from there.
