On Nov. 11th, 2015 we were visited by the Palm Springs and Desert Jewish Federation Delegation which is one of our Partnership Communities from the United States.
We met them and held a meaningful ceremony at David Ben Gurion’s Grave where they met Mayor Shmulik Rifman and Partnership Staff and heard about our special region. Afterwards we toured the Research and Development Center for Advanced Agriculture and learned about their special work.
From there we met with IDF combat soldiers of the Bobcat Brigade which is a coed combat unit and learned about their challenges protecting our borders.
Palm Springs Jewish Federation has generously supported a new Day Care Center at the Ben Gurion Midrasha and a new Kindergarten at Kadesh Barnea Community where we held a wonderful ceremony with the children and parents. We also stopped off at Beer Milka Community for coffee where we learned about their hopes and dreams for the future.
Thank you so much to all of the Palm Springs and Desert Delegation for being part of our family.
We are looking forward to your next visit to us here in Ramat HaNegev!
