“The Bedouin Experience” is a unique project in Ramat Hanegev that trains Bedouins how to develop tourist projects that showcase Bedouin tradition and heritage.
The project, which is promoted by Ramat Hanegev tourism department jointly with the Ministry of Tourism, has provided tourism training courses for men and women separately.
The men’s course focused on providing tools and training for guidance skills and standing before an audience. The women’s course focused on training and learning traditional Bedouin crafts. The course is initially designed to preserve these crafts that create an attractive tourism product that can be successfully marketed and sold to the public. One can already go to visit the Kfar Aricha and enjoy the unique experience of the local residents, who are passionate about preserving their ancient traditions and nomadic way of life.
The project is a unique platform for promoting Bedouin tourism, in general, and employment in the tourism industry for Bedouins, in particular.
“The Bedouin Experience” will become a centrally important component in Ramat Hanegev’s tourism product, marketed to tourists from Israel and overseas.
