Hagai Reznick of Kibbutz Revivim has been appointed to be the new general manager of the council. Hagai is replacing Shaul Levy, the long term general manager who is retiring.
Hagain Reznick (35) was born in Jerusalem and at an early age left his parents’ home by court order. After passing hands and undergoing countless ordeals, he ultimately reached the youth group at Kibbutz Revivim, which turned his life around.
Following his IDF military service, he filled a series of important roles in education on the kibbutz: instructing children and teens, coordinating youth and young adult programming and informal education.
He graduated with a BA with honors and an MA from Ben-Gurion University and served as a research assistant at the Eliyashar Center. Hagai served as the general secretary of Kibbutz Revivim for a lengthy period – as chairman of the local association and board; he later also successfully managed the boarding school at Midreshet Sde Boker, residing at the Midrasha throughout that period.
Hagai was in the past a member of the council’s general assembly and was involved in setting up the region’s Young Adults’ Forum and was chairman of the think-tank team that formulated young adult programming in Ramat Hanegev. Additionally, he has been partner to various projects in the council and the region. He is married to Liri, a social worker and yoga teacher.
